iStore Social Media Competitions

These competition rules (“rules”) explain your rights and duties upon participating in the competition and submitting stories or any other content to the competition or any other social media engagement drive. If you take part in this competition and accept any prize, these rules will apply to you and you agree that the body running the event and competition (“the promoter/s”) can assume that you have read and agreed to be legally bound by these rules.
 
The competition will only be running on the platform on which it is posted and promoted. All qualification and entry criteria, unless stated otherwise, will be included in the social media post promoting the competition.The post will also include the run dates of the competition plus the date on which the winner(s) will be announced. There is no limit on the number of entries that a participant can make.
 
Any inappropriate submissions will be disqualified; this will include submissions / containing inappropriate language and any submissions of a derogatory or discriminative nature. Unless stated otherwise, participants who satisfy the qualifying criteria will form part of the pool of entrants from which winner(s) will be randomly selected by Core Group Staff.
 
The judges’ decision is final and the promoters will not enter into any discussions around the final winners. The prize cannot be swopped for anything other than the original prize promoted.  
 
The winners will be announced through a Facebook post. They will then be expected to send their full names, email and mobile number to My iStore via a private message on Facebook so that iStore can get in touch with delivery of their prize.  
 
All entrants agree to their names and submitted content being used for publicity purposes within reason, and agree that the promotors may use their entry information to place them on iStore database. 
 
The promotor will treat participant information in total confidence and will not sell, share or rent this information to any other third parties.The promotor may disclose information if required to do so by law or if it is required to protect the safety, rights or property of iStore, our members, customers or the public. 
 
iStore and our affiliates will not be responsible, and disclaim all liability, for any loss, liability, injury, expense or damage (whether direct, indirect, incidental, punitive or consequential) of any nature, whether arising from negligence or any other cause, which is suffered by your participation in the competition or the acceptance and/or use by you, or your partner (if applicable), of any prize, or by any action taken by us or any of our affiliates in accordance with the terms and conditions. 
 

Valentines refund competition – terms and conditions

Definitions

Affiliates” mean (i) any Person which, directly or indirectly is Controlled by i-Pay or PayU, or Controls i-Pay or PayU; and (ii) directors, officers, employees, agents and representatives of i-Pay or PayU. "Control", as used in the preceding sentence, means the possession, directly or indirectly, of the power to direct or cause the direction of the management and policies of a Person, whether through the ownership of voting securities, by contract or otherwise;

Competition” means the opportunity, each week during the Competition Period, for an Entrant to be refunded up to R10 000 (rand ten thousand) for a single purchase of goods or services offered by PayU on any PayU Website Platform, such single purchase being completed using the i-Pay Platform;  

Competition Period” means each calendar day from 00h01, 5 February 2018 until 00h00 14 February 2018;

 “EFT” means Electronic Funds Transfer;

i-Pay” means i-Pay Secure Payment (Pty) Ltd (Registration no. 2013/214663/07);

i-Pay API” means i-Pay’s application programming interface, being the software and set of functions and procedures which interface with PayU’s systems to facilitate access to the i-Pay Platform;

i-Pay Platform” means the set of functions and procedures developed by i-Pay which facilitate the payment by an Entrant of a good or service on a PayU Website Platform by means of EFT;

PayU” means PayU Payment Solutions (Pty) Ltd (Registration no. 2009/017393/07);

Person” means any natural person, firm, company, corporation, state or agency of a state, or any joint venture, partnership, association or incorporated or unincorporated body;

Prize” means a refund of a single purchase made by an Entrant using the i-Pay Platform on any PayU website platforms, such refund being up to the value of R 10 000 (ten thousand rand). 

PayU Website Platforms” means the website/s operated by PayU as well as related PayU mobi-sites and software applications.

 

Rules

The Competition is promoted by i-Pay, and co-sponsored by i-Pay and PayU.   By entering the Competition you agree to the rules of the Competition.

There are no entry fees to participate in this Competition.

The entry of any natural persons into the Competition (the “Entrant”) and/or acceptance of a Prize by an Entrant in the event that a Prize is won (the “Winner”) constitutes binding acceptance of these terms and conditions on behalf of the Entrant and Winner, together with any persons with whom a prize is shared (the “Partner”).

Entrants under the age of 18 must obtain permission from their parents or guardians before entering the Competition, who must approve of and consent to the Entrant’s participation in the Competition and the receipt / possession of a Prize to the extent that the Entrant becomes a Winner.

The Competition is not open to -

directors, members, shareholders, agents, consultants or employees of i-Pay or PayU; or

the spouse, life partner, business partner or associate, or the natural or adopted parent, child, or sibling, of any of the Persons specified in 6.1 above; or

the suppliers of any goods or services in respect of the Competition. 

An Entrant may not win a Prize if it is unlawful for i-Pay to provide a Prize to an Entrant. In the event that an Entrant does win a Prize, and it is unlawful for such Entrant to win a Prize, the Entrant concerned will forfeit the Prize.

The data costs, or any other costs, incurred by an Entrant in purchasing goods or services on any PayU Website Platform in the ordinary course outside of the Competition Period will apply during the Competition Period.

It is the responsibility of all Entrants to ensure that their entry is received by i-Pay prior to the closure of the Competition. Any entries which are not received during the Competition Period will not be eligible to participate, regardless of the reason. i-Pay or PayU is not responsible for any entries which are not received by i-Pay, whether timeously or at all, regardless of the cause thereof. Without limitation, i-Pay, PayU and their Affiliates are not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, or providers, computer hardware or software failure or malfunction, traffic congestion (whether physical, or on the Internet, telephone lines or at any service provider, web site or other device or medium), or any combination thereof, or any other technical or other problems experienced by an Entrant when entering the Competition.

i-Pay, PayU and their Affiliates are not responsible for any injury or damage to an Entrant or any other Person’s computer, mobile telephone or other device used by an Entrant to enter into, or obtain any materials related to, the Competition.

To enter the Competition, an Entrant should –

complete a single purchase for any number of good(s) or services on any of the PayU Website Platforms by using the i-Pay Platform to make payment for such purchase during the Competition Period; and

an Entrant is allowed to complete as many purchases in accordance with clause 11.1 above during the Competition Period as the Entrant wishes to, and each of these completed purchases shall constitute an entry into the Competition.

The Prize may not be deferred, changed or exchanged for any other item.

i-Pay and its co-sponsor PayU do not make any representations or give any warranties, whether expressly or implicitly, as to a Prize, and in particular, but without limitation, makes no representations and gives no warranty that –

an Entrant’s entry or participation in the Competition will necessarily result in such Entrant winning a Prize; or

a Prize, or any aspect thereof, will meet an Entrant’s or, if applicable, an Entrant’s partner’s, requirements, preferences, standards or expectation.

Two Winners will be chosen during the Competition Period. One Winner will be chosen during the period between 5 February 2018 and 9 February 2018, while the second Winner will be chosen during the period between 10 February 2018 and 14 February 2018.  The lucky draw for each of the Winners will take place on 9 February 2018 and 15 February 2018.  The preliminary Winners will be determined by a panel of judges that are selected by i-Pay.  The determination made by the panel of judges concerned will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.   

I-Pay will notify Winners by means of the contact details provided to i-Pay by PayU.  PayU receives the Winners contact details with the prior consent of the (i) merchant in which the PayU Website Platform is made available, and (ii) such details are made available to the merchant by the Entrant upon entering this Competition during the Competition Period.  I-Pay will attempt to make contact with each Winner at least 3 times, but if i-Pay is unable to contact any Winner within 3 (three) working days after the lucky draw, such Winner will forfeit his/her prize and i-Pay reserves the right to 

 

 

 

iStore Competition 

 

To enter this competition, entrants need to create an online profile on myistore.co.za and make a purchase between 9 February and 31 March 2018.

 

iStore cannot be held responsible for computer system hardware, software or program errors, or other failures in computer transmissions or network connections for any entries lost or delayed through email. Sponsors cannot be held responsible for late, lost, illegible, incomplete, damaged or misdirected entries. 

 

The competition is only open to persons who are South African residents.

 

The prize is a R50000 holiday voucher from American Express Travel and Tours and will be valid for 1 year from date of issue. The prize is not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash. 

 

Directors, members, partners, employees or agents of or consultants to iStore and Core Group, as well as their advertising agencies, partners, affiliates and immediate family members as well as suppliers of goods or services in connection with this competition are not eligible to win. 

 

All entrants agree to their names and photographs being used for publicity purposes within reason, and agree that iStore may use their entry information to place them on iStore database. Please note that you have the right to decline this condition by contacting us via email following confirmation of your entry into the competition at [email protected] 

 

The final date for entry into the draw for the daily prize is midnight (Central Africa Time) on the 31st March 2018. 

The winner of the iStore voucher prize will be selected on the 1st of April 2018 from a random single draw of all eligible entries received. 

The winners name will be announced on the iStore Facebook group within 7 days of the draw date. Winners will also be notified by telephone or email. 

Please note that the decisions of iStore are final and binding. No correspondence will be entered into.

Participation in the competition constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions.
