Cellphone Banking

iStore Card, administered by Standard Bank brings your banking to your fingertips!

Cellphone banking is easy, safe, convenient and cost effective, allowing you to do your banking anywhere, anytime.

It's convenient!


  • • Check how much money you have (your balance)
  • • Find out what's happening in your account (mini-statement)
  • • Make payments (beneficiary payments)
  • • Buy airtime for Vodacom, MTN, Cell C or Virgin Mobile (prepaid airtime)

There is no monthly subscription PLUS you get these transactions FREE:


  • • balance enquiries
  • • mini-statements
  • • prepaid transactions


You only pay normal electronic banking fees for paying beneficiaries.


iStore Card Message: Cellular network charges apply: your service provider will charge you for the amount of information sent to and from your cell phone. These charges are usually very low, so making a payment to a beneficiary may cost you only 4 cents


It's Safe!

Your cell phone banking sessions are secured by the same 128-bit encryption used for Internet banking. You also log on using your BlueBean Credit Card number and a PIN.

As long as you keep these numbers secret, nobody else will be able to access your BlueBean Credit Card account.

iStore Card Tip: No banking details are stored on your cell phone, so if you lose it or it is stolen, your iStore Credit Card details won’t be on it.

We offer two cell phone banking options:
WAP banking is banking on the mobile Internet. It requires a WAP 2.0 enabled cell phone.
The new cell phone banking service allows you to access cell phone banking via a dial-up session. (You may use any cell phone for this option)

Telephone banking, supported by Standard Bank, lets you:

  • view your balance
  • make payments

All you need to do is create your Self Service Banking Profile.

What is a Self-Service Banking Profile?
It is a single registration that gives you access to Internet, Telephone and Cell phone banking services.

Who needs a Self-Service Banking Profile?

  • All existing and new telephone and cell phone banking customers.
  • All new Internet banking customers
  • All prepaid users who recharge their cell phone via the telephone, i.e. 565 or 11333

All existing Internet banking customers will automatically have a Self-Service Banking Profile and do not need to create one.

How to create a Self-Service Banking Profile

  • • You can create your Self-Service Banking Profile by calling us or by clicking here.
  • • You must have a valid BlueBean Credit Card and an ATM PIN or customer-selected PIN (CSP) to set up your Self-Service Banking Profile.


  • • One point of registration for Internet, Telephone and Cell phone banking
  • • Increased security because you will be notified via SMS or email when there is activity on your Self-Service Banking Profile
